do strike solve anything?

in my region there is strike again and again for each and every reason they get to do. do these strike have any power that can solve the problem that occured. i think it will just make the matter worse as needy people who work daily outside to eary few money are rested with nothing and a week strike will bring misery to their family. even when a patient is in dreaded state requiring utmost care and attention wont be able to make to hospital because of these strike. i think now that total or complete strile is just a waste of time and is a cause of major misery.
