I've heard that most of the retired people from the US/Europe/Ca would consider living in Asian countries to enjoy their retirement benefits because of the low cost of living in those countries. If you are to retire now would you leave your country? and which country would you consider living?

I have no problem with living outside my home country. The earth is so massive and I want to get a taste of each part of it...but unfortunately its impossible =( I think if I was to retire now, it would be either by the foot of the Alps mountains or in an idylic countryside in New Zealand =D ... if only I didnt need to think about pensions =(

i also will not leave the Philippines when i reach my retirement age. i think this is the best place for me to spend the rest of my days too. well, i guess you are right, this place on earth is one of the chosen place of foreign nationals to stay when they retire. and i have noticed a lot of foreigners here who are, i think already retired. i found some Germans, Americans, Japanese, etc. oh, i remember now. my wife's cousin married a Canadian. they are still in Canada. but i heard from her cousin that her husband have mentioned one time, that when he retires, he wanted to come home with his wife in the Philippines.

For me, I will not leave my country for good. I have lived for the most of my life here in the Philippines, the experience, the culture that our country brought us could not be overshadowed by some countries.
