How do you manage your time?

There are lot of things to do daily: duty, chores, task, appointments and the likes. A lot of times I multitask but some of my work suffers. I'm still learning not to rush anymore, lol and I'm trying to be calm and relax as possible when doing all the things I need to finish. How do you manage your time? Do you also have a checklist like I do? Do you have a schedule on everything? It'll be a great help. Thanks for sharing!

Because I'm married, I'm an expert in time management. I had to. Early in the morning household chores then in the afternoon some relaxation, a time to answer discussions in myLot and again household chores. Sometimes I go out with my daughter and son and Sunday is a time for the Lord.

A checklist is definitely a lot of help. That way you can prioritize your 'to do' things. Poat-Its also help a lot so you won't forget anything

I can not do as much as i used to be able todo aswell as what i would like todo.I try to do as many things that i can by trying to do all the chores sitting down as it is too painful to keep getting up and down aswell as walking.I have some really good friends that do tend to help me out by putting my linen on the line etc and my husband is great as he will do most of the housework when he gets home from work.I do all the paper work as soon as i get it aswell as any calls that need to be made.

I have huge problems with this sometimes, more things seem to pop up all the time that I need to do. I don't use checklists or anything, but I add small notes and appointments to my mobile phone to remind me. It works okay, meaning I don't usually forget stuff, but I am often in a rush to make it somewhere on time, so I am sure there are better ways to do this too!

I also put my appointments in my cell, that way I won't forget it. It really helps.

Being able to manage your time well is a competency worth building. It not only affects productivity, it increases your confidence level and your ability to work. Some secrets to time management are breaking down the big picture into steps, learning what you are able to accomplish in a specific time frame, prioritizing and working on the most important and urgent tasks, and creating and sticking to a plan.

When I have so many things to do at almost the same time, then I would make a check list. But if it is daily appointment, I would just mark my calendar on the table. Plus I use calendar notes on Microsoft outlook to remind me of important appointments.
