There are so many cars in the street and the pollution has been caused so much by the release of the tail gas which is so harmful to the Environment. To reducing the use of the car is a good way to solve the problem. However, the climate of comparing unrealisticallly is so strong in china, for most famliy in my city who could have not single car but several car for diverse function which is so waste for the material and the fuels. Maybe some people will memorize the view that we had gone to the destination always by bicycle which is so efficient vehicle and so enviromental for the earth. If to the distant place ,we could going by bus instead of by private car. Besides, the gasoline is also becoming less and less in recent years. The cost to running the car is much huger than before.Choosing other vehicle is also more costful way. That's all my view about this topic.

I'm not sure if I think it'll happen, but it would be nice. It'd be great if we could improve public transportation so we don't all have to own a car/several cars to get around. So many cars is really toxic for the environment, so many if we can't somehow improve public transportation like buses, then we can improve our vehicles and how they run. Electric cars would be awesome, because electricity isn't nearly as limited as oil/gasoline.

I don't think that will happen but maybe cars will evolve also to be more environment-friendly... WIth the emerging technologies like fuel cell, electric solar etc without relying on fossil fuels. Fossil fuels will dry out soon and we need new renewable energy sources just to continue on. In the context of china, at that time, they will have enough money to sustain themselves and just like japan may spend a long-term investment on how to save the environment

I don't think that people will reduce the use of car as by 20 years from now...as there are many alternative way of car... car that run on electricity are the most common... there are other technology that make use of environmental friendly fuel to run car....cars running on solar energy are also been invented... I think these technology will improve and will be less expensive and more feasible for use...

I think the use of the bicycle is good but it is too dangerous in our place. There are no bicycle lanes and traveling by bike is too risky. I do not know if man's love for cars will wane in 20 years.

I don't think that people will reduce car use in 20 years. People depend so much on cars to go around even to the nearby store. Also we find that in one house there is more than one car. Indeed price of gasoline keeps on increasing. I guess we should find alternatives. Like using clean fuel or hybrid cars. Also government could set up sensitisation campaigns to encourage people to move through public transport or use bicycles which would also help keep them healthy. I guess it depends on the willingness of individuals to change their habits, the measures that governments take to reduce the use of cars, the technology that manufacturers use to reduce the negative effects that cars have on our environment.

That's the tendency and I believe it will be happen sooner or later. The road is too crowded now in China, especially in big cities like Beijing and Shanghai. Beijing's "odd and even" limit policy is an obvious example. And, oil will be exhausted in next tens of years, so reducing cars is necessary. But the goverment is in a dilemma now. In one hand, so much necessity to reduce car using; in the other hand, car producing is one of the pillars of Chinese economy. Reducing car using can cause workers unemployed and tax decreased. And people who profit from this will fight against the policy.

I don't think That will happen ..at least in the Near Future ... with China and India's economies are growing faster ..when your economy grows ...people's lifestyle also changes and Cars form a integral part of one's lifestyle and status. At these times when Developed Economies are returning Back to Old Days , India , China and Host of other countries have started to follow their developed counterparts and are presently moving towards their lifestyle . So it would be highly difficult to reduce car usage , though i personally agree with your views. In a Unstable world , everything is unpredictable .
