Something ate my Koi Fish.

I had been trying to grow Koi carps on my little pond at our backyard but one morning a few weeks ago only fish scales were left on the pond. My efforts to grow Koi's have vanished. I lost my motivation to grow more Koi. I live in Arizona and I don't know what kind of creature would eat pond fish. Do ravens eat fish? I see many of them taking a bath at the water fountain. Do raccoons live in Arizona? I'm not sure what to suspect. I saw some feces near the pond that looked like cat's.

Maybe your neighbors ate it. jk. XD. If you cats nearby then it would be probably the cats. The don't need to dive just to get the fish, maybe they just waited at the side and then grabbed it when they had the chance.

i think there were signs of the fish struggling because normally there are no fish scales visible at the bottom of the pond.

Signs of struggling huh? Have you or any member of family seen any suspicious character in the past week before the event happened? lol. Do you have any grudge with your neighbors or peers?

I thought cats don't like getting wet. My pond is about 3 feet deep.

I am sorry for your loss. It could be anything from a bird(not a raven but maybe something flying past) or even a cat. What I used to do with my pond is I had a net over it, sort of like a net for the pool which kept things from coming in and killing my fish but allowed the sun to enter etc. If you don't mind placing such a net over and giving the fish another try. Best of luck and hope things get better in the future.
