2010 NBA Free Agency

June 29, 2010 11:06am CST
With the NBA Draft over with we now have the important business of the Free Agency. The biggest such group of talented free agents there has ever been. LeBron James and Chris Bosh are seriously talking with Dwyane Wade to work out whether they can sign as a three for Miami Heat. This would be an incredible thing if it was to happen and would give the NBA two stacked teams in the form of the Lakers and Heat. We've gone past the belief of whether this could actually happen so what are your thoughts on it. Would it be a good move for Miami Heat and how would the rest of the NBA react towards this move?. Of course this is just one of the possibilities.

I haven't checked NBA news for a week but when I got to read your post, I just can't stop myself from reading all free agency news spreading around. Wade, James and Bosh in 1 team is really something extravagant, something that I never imagined nor thought of before.. but it is really possible. 2 more days to go. As I was reading this article : http://www.nba.com/news/features/aldridge.2010.freeagency/index.html?ls=iref:nbahpt1 The NBA's collective bargaining and all the other contracts agreements are really confusing for me. at least the only thing I know is that if Wade, James and Bosh would end up in Miami, at least 2 players will not get their money's worth to be able to push through with the deal. As superstar as LeBron is, I don't think sacrificing that money over a 5-year deal is not something that I'd agree upon considering how much more money I'll receive if I play for other teams, that I'd be the lone superstar and we'll all still be witnesses. Its like playing NBA fantasy league but its actually real. But then again, you have 3 superstars.. and by far, I have heard only Bosh who said "Whatever team I'll land on, I want to be the man". SNAP! You can't be the man in Miami when you have 2 other superstars better than you in my opinion! Therefore I think that signing all 3 players will not push through but is still possible.. I think Wade will still stay with Miami and will be able to bring Bosh.. because I highly doubt LeBron will team up with him. They get to share the highlight which none of them ever experienced in their NBA careers. P.S: If all 3 are aiming to win championships together, then I guess that's the only way that that speculation will ever happen. But if money is tossed in the table, that's a different story already.

Thanks for the response. I certainly agree with you on your point about Chris Bosh saying that he wanted to be the lead guy on whatever team he went to. If he teamed up with Wade and James at Miami then he would be the third guy on that team. It seems to be a possibility and it will be interesting to see how that pans out. I don't see any problem with the salary as given the chance of multiple championships they would take a small paycut.

It really depends on the 3 of them. If they're in it for the money, then I guess a possibility of a championship is far from the picture. Money has its way of swaying each player . We'll see this summer .. Thanks as well to you lakerfanster. See you around

They all receive a lot in Sponsorship so it wouldn't be that much of an issue. LeBron in particular is a huge Nike star.

I like the idea that Bosh, Lebron and Wade will sign for the Miami Heat. But can the Miami Heat management afford the salaries that this 3 superstars will consume in the allotted salary cap of every team in the NBA? I think that if this 3 players will sign up maybe there is no chance that they could suit up 12 players. maybe they can only have a roster with 8 players.
