Are your parents still living?

I lost both of my parents several years ago. They died about five months apart, from completely different causes. It was traumatic, and I still miss them both. I talk to them sometimes.

My mother still lives, age 92, in a nursing home. She is one of the few residents that does not need a walker to get around, she uses a cane. Stricken with Alzheimers, it is not good to witness the progression of this disease, however we make the best of it. She still knows me, but has a hard time remembering my name or anything else, but she still smiles and we laugh together. Honor your parents every day you can, before you wish that you had!

Both of my parents are living and I am so blessed and I am happy that they are. I dont know what I would do if they arent. I think that's going to be sad. I dont wanna think about it. Its something that I dont want to happen to me and my family, like losing a family member.

Good for you. You are indeed blessed, and I hope that blessing spills over into other areas.

Sadly, only one of my parents is still living. I lost my father in a terrible automobile accident. It was devastating. I was only 16 at the time. Thankfully, my mother is still with me. She has since remarried and lives close by. I see her every day. I still miss my father and wish he could be here with me.

My father past away in 2004, I didn't know him all that well since he was never a part of my life. My mother is still living but her and I don't really get along, I try my best in keeping contact but she really doesn't care to. I do however keep in constant contact with my sister and her husband and they helped raise me and I consider them parents.

Do what you can do. I have many family members who barely speak to me. It is sad, in a way, but if that is their choice, so be it.

My parents divorced many years ago. It was bitter and nearly everybody chose sides. I did not. I was close to both of them all the way, and I was the only person who stayed close to both. I never blamed either for anything. I am not perfect and neither were they, and I can live with that. No matter what, they are still your family.

I am sorry to hear your loss. I am grateful that my parents are still alive. Although one day they will be gone, whenever I think about it, I feel sad. I love China

Yes, both of my parents are still alive and in good health. My mother is 75 and my father is 77...today his older sister turned 89 so I expect both of them to be around for some time to come. I talk to them often on the phone...we live far from them...and email my mother just about every day.
