go to safe mode most of the scripts dont work in safe mode so you might have a good chance to stay there in safe mode after that i suggest you download a software called process explorer which would show you a list of processes some processes that are named after system files and but they are shown under explorer files see them clearly and delete them before deleting one thing you should do is locate where the file is situated after that delete the process delete the file restarting would mostly stop if you are still having problems pm me

Are you sure when you go to shut it down it says "shut down" or could it be it says "restart" and you just didnt notice? check that. theres a pull down section there that asks which you want.

It keeps on restarting even if I don't do anything on it. It doesn't keep on restarting just because of the commant "restart" or "shutdown" my dear...

If this happened to my machine, I would do a search on line to try and find an answer to this. It has happened a while ago, and it was due to a virus that my software had missed. I got on line and found some advice that is was a virus, and printed out how to get rid of it. I had to go into the registry and look for a certain file and delete it. It was easier to do with the printed instructions on my desk. After that my computer worked fine, so the remedy worked. Good luck with your computer.. _Derek

I'm having the same problem with the other pc. The service center said that it could probably be because of incompatibility with some of the installed programs. Like you, thought I wanna fix it myself without having to pay the technician but I just could not check for solutions in the net when I couldn't have it to start properly. Hope we can all look for solutions here. Thanks for the topic!

Maybe you went through a site that might have brought a malicious something on your pc. Try scanning it for viruses or try reformatting it.

When I had problems with my previous old laptop, I used to take it to a computer expert for help to fix it unless it was a small problem that I could fix. But I did not have the problem you mentioned here. I suggest that it be taken to a technician or a computer guy for help. Take care.

If you use Windows operating system you can follow this steps: 1. Restart your computer and go to BIOS menu by pressing F2 button (some computer with "Del" button). 2. Set the first boot with CD/DVD Room. 3. Insert your CD Windows. 4. Restart your computer 5. Press any key to go to CD Menu 6. Choose Install Windows, Press F8, you'll be notified that you already have windows at your computer. 7. Choose "Repair" 8. Let your computer repair your system. 9. Finish 10. Restart your computer. I hope your computer will be work well after it.
