Weirdest Sandwich

United States
June 29, 2010 11:45pm CST
This afternoon I made a weird sandwich, and I must admit it was delicious. It was two slices of bread, which I toast them, head lettuces (not the hold head). I tore the leafs off of it and mayo. What is the weirdest sandwich you have ever made? Take care Snow Happy mylotting

most of the times, i experiment on tuna. i'll open a can of corned tuna, finely dice a red onion and mix it together. sometimes i add toasted mushroom stems and mayo. the mayo is really optional, depending on my mood and my appetite and i usually use wheat bread. :)

Swap the lettuce out with tomato, don't toast the sanwich, and add pepper.. then you'd have a tomato sandwich, so delicious!

Yours sounds good as well. I love breads, and I think it'd be nice to try some simple sandwiches with not so simple breads...

I guess the strangest sandwiches I have ever made snowqueen are an avocado & mayo sandwich with salt & pepper, a tomato sandwich and also a cucumber sandwich with salt & pepper on both. They are very good and much better for you than ones with lunch meat I am sure! Yours sounds good too! If I think of any other weird ones I've made, I will let you know.

Kids here in the UK quite often eat crisp sandwiches (potato chips), but also my kids sometimes have tomato ketchup sandwiches! I know that peanut butter and jelly sandwiches are popular in the US, but that sounds horrible to me! I don't think I eat many weird sandwiches as an adult, I just like cheese and salad, that kind of thing.

hi karen from an elderly kid here in California you have to get really good brand of peanut butter then get smuckers sugar free jam and put it together and yum its totally delicious.,good quality peanut butter had a much nicer flavor and the sugar free jam is a nice touch. I detest most peanut butter jelly sandwiches as they are made of poor quality bread, and peanut butter, and sickeningly sweet jelly and the flavor is atrocious., yuck. I also love potato chip sandwiches I guess you call them crisps b ut by any name its delicious to me.,As for cheese I think I am a cheeseoholic if there is such a word,.lol,

Lebanon bologna, American cheese, peanut butter, pickles, and potato chips on two slices of white bread, buttered. I have not had one of those for a long time, but now you stirred the thought.

I couldn't help but laugh at this. My oldest daughters favorite sandwich as a little girl was miracle whip and lettuce sandwich. She is in her mid 20's and says occasionally she still eat it. I think my most weirdest sandwich probably isn't that weird, but it's a peanut butter/raisin...

I guess the weirdest sandwich I ever made was mayo between two slices of bread. Having a beef or ham sandwich is good too but I guess I just love mayo so much that just the mayo between bread is good to eat. Mayo sandwich is just so tasty It did taste weird but it was weird in a good way. Happy mylotting.

In the Philippines, there is this food called pinangat. It is a food concocted using coconut milk, taro leaves, ginger, salt, and ground pork. I will not describe in details matter how this food is prepared but basically, the ingredients are what I just mentioned. I remember feeling kind of hungry one night but found nothing in the kitchen except just 2 pieces of plain bread and supper leftover's pinangat. I know we just run out of cheese, dogs, eggs, and sandwich spreads and was even scheduled to replenish the food supply the following morning. Since I was really feeling kinda hungry I said to myself... "Hmmm...Why don't I try to make a sandwich out of this leftover pinangat?" And, I did. Well... it was gamy but delicious! Weird.

Weird sandwiches I make usually involve chocolate and ice cream. There was this one time when I put butter, sugar, chocolate and ice cream in between two normal slices of white bread. It was good!
