A good college pass out student with good marks doesn't always assure a job !

There are many instances where very good students passing out with great marks will find it difficult to get a job or sometimes they don't even get a job by their great marks ! once when one comes out of college life, he realizes how difficult the world as he finds it difficult to even find a suitable job for himself in this competitive world as most of those recruiting firms will look for results and positive candidates than those who have only good marks but no communication skills which are really so important in real life

Many people often think that good grades=good career, giving high marking students high expectation after graduating. But unfortunately, the real career world that lies way beyond the school dimension, is a pool of misfortune, dream breakers and "expect the unexpected " events. Some classmates and batchmates of mine run to me whenever they need help in projects, assignments, and yes, even in thesis. But these people have better jobs compared to us who helped them pass their course. One common factor for them is that the circle of friends their family have is way greater in quality and in size compared to us. Heck, one of our classmate even had a dad whose friend promised that after graduating college he will directly hire him for a medium level position. He won't start at the bottom like everyone else, plus he is not one of the bright ones either....

Yeah I agree, I know someone who graduated as C um Laude and someone who graduated with just a passing mark but guess what the latter lands a high paying job than the first one. It's because the latter is really good in interacting people so he is successful in his job as sales. While the other one depends solely on her intelligence and pride so that makes her jumping from one company to another.

That's true! We cant always be sure that if you have good grades in college that you will also land in a good job in the future. I had schoolmates before who were not really good in academics during college days but they were able to land a good job these days, jobs better than mine. I dont know if they are underemployed or someone helped them to have that position, but no matter what, source of living is really depending on how you deal with it.

I agree... when I was in school/college we had a career's advisor which basicaly gave you the information that you needed on which subjects that you actually need to study and pass with good grades in order to apply for certain jobs, of the career of your choice. Even then I thought to myself, well am I really going to get this chose career of mine if I do these subjects?? The truth is, it is a big wide world out there, and being in school is a lot easier, although really the teachers do need to explain how hard it can be to find a job, even if you are qualified.

I agree with you. Good marks will only give you a higher "chance" of getting a job. But its not always an assurance. You can get the best grades in college but this is not enough to prove yourself worthy of the position you are applying.
