Up next for Ghana is Uruguay in the quarter finals. Do you think Ghana has what it takes to beat Uruguay. They will be without the services of Ayew who picked up a second yellow card and is set to miss the match. So what is your take on Ghana's chances of becoming the first African nation to make the semifinals? Cheers! Ram

Hopefully their run will go beyond the quarter finals and be the shinning beacon for the Africa continent like what South Korea did in their 2002 run. Got to admit I dint predict that they will go this far. Thought Ivory Coast will be the African team in the tournament but they stumble at the first hurdle.

I don't think so and it ends right there. Could be another more years for Ghana to take by reaching even the semis though it's not impossible as I see them improved in the previous World Cup. I think Uruguay is just too strong for them to just bow at that. Have you noticed that almost all South American nations are in the quarters? And they are displaying impressive wins in their group matches. I still do route for one of the South American team. Either Brazil or Argentina.

On paper, Uruguay definitely is the better side. Especially their strikers, Suarez and Forlan are class acts. Cheers! Ram

Well, I think Ghana will have an uphill struggle to beat a team as good as Uruguay, but I really hope they can do it! I have really enjoyed watching the African teams play at the World Cup and I think it would be boring to just have South American and European teams left in. Since England got knocked out, my Number 1 team is Ghana!!

Yes, especially when they dance after the goal. It is ridiculously funny to say the least :) Cheers! Ram

Exactly and Asamoah Gyan seems to be the cheerleader of their dance stunt. Cheers! Ram

Oh I love that, it's great to see their genuine happiness! Some of the best teams are so used to winning, they don't seem to care so much. It just becomes a "job", I guess, instead of a passion - but Ghana seem to have kept that passion alive!

if they had ayew with them then surely it would have been very interesting match but without him i think it will be rather much tough for them. so lets see what happens now. :D

Yes, but amongst all the quarter finalist, they would have preferred Uruguay to any other team. Cheers! Ram
