Naming a baby is important for he/she. Different countries have different customs. In China, some people name their baby according to family tree, and others are don't. What about in your countries?

Some children are given family names here in the US, while others are not. Many pick the name of their child based on the way it sounds with thier last name. Also, people will choose based on what the name means. I have often heard that if you give your child a strong name they will be successful in life.

it's interesting to give a name based on the way it sould with the last name. So the first name and the family name will be similar?

Not necessarily similar but should have a nice tone to them. Some last names in the US are combinations of or sound differnetly then the native background they are from so the name given a child should have a good ring to it.

In my home country most people give a name they like to their child. Parents or single mothers usually write a list of names they like. A team yellow set of parents would be likely to have a girl and an boy name ready. It might be Sophie for a girl or Thomas for a boy. Some pregnant ladies have a gender scan. Then they know if they are having a girl or a boy. I found it challenging to think of names for my two sons. It was much easier to decide on a name for my daughter. A few people name their child after a family member but then it can be Mark Senior and Mark Junior which could get confusing.

Another peple give one name about the saints: Mihai, Ioan, Petru, Maria, Elena. And also name about the family: the same name as parents, grandparents. If i will have kids i was thinking about: Victoria after my grandmather and maybe Victor- Robert if is a boy.
