What kind of treats? How often? I give my cats "Medi-treats", they go crazy over those things!

I do sneak my dogs cheese, occasionally I get them doggie bones, but only if they aren't made of all kinds of nasty artificial stuff. My one dog does have to watch his weight because he's a large dog, so too much weight could really hurt his hips/legs when he lays down. I have to be fair to them though, so only give them treats equally. :)

Bones - Bones
Very often, couple times a day. We give him bones for fresh breath, and for healthy teeth and gums.

My bunny gets romaine lettuce, dandelion greens, carrots, bananas, and these things called wildberry drops as treats. The dog is so picky! She would rather have the rabbit treats, but every now and then she will eat her treats. She really prefers Doritos my husband will feed them both. So bad for them!

Aww...it's OK to have a treat sometimes though....just think of that as her "mcdonalds" (not healthy but OK sometimes) :)

Canine Carry Outs - Chewy doggy treats called canine carry outs.
I give my dog 3 treats a day called Canine Carry Outs. I prefer Milk Bone but the other kind is softer, and she needs to take meds daily, so I stick it in the treat. She doesn't feel a thing, just gobbles it right down. :-)

I give my kitties pounce. Actually, I only give one of them pounce. The other kitty doesn't like ANY treats. At all. Ever.

I don't give my pets packaged treats. Because they like real food better. The rabbits and guinea pigs prefer fresh vegetables over treats. And the zebra finches will take a spray millet over some treats anyday (I've tried giving them those treat sticks, they hate those things).

We give our dog treats when ever she comes in from outside. She loves the cheap ones from Sam's Club and Wal-Mart. We stopped buying the more expensive ones. We buy the cats some now and then but they like to go through them too fast. Again though it's the cheap ones from Wal-Mart. They go crazy with them and will break open the can to get to them.
