How do you keep track of your readers?

Everyone who has a website wants to know how many people visit it, of course. But if you have a blog (mine is a Blogspot one), what widget are you supposed to use to keep track of the amount of visitors you have? I know there is a widget where you see each visitor in real time, and who is visiting and stuff, but that one does not seem to have historical data.
So if you have a Blogspot blog or any other type of blog, could you tell me what widgets you use for this? Are you happy with the widget you have?

Yes, I am sure there are tons of them, but I just don't know what they are called, so I find it hard to find them, you know? Anyway, it would be great if I could use a Facebook application for it, but I don't think it is possible for Blogspot blogs... Thanks for your reply though! If I ever get a Facebook blog, I'll know what to do!
