21 of December 2012 Is it the End of the World?

Many believe that on this date will come the end of the world,
or the end of the world as we know it. The Hindus, the Maya,and even Nosterdamus
reffer that date to an opocolypse.
They say ,there is no way we can prepare to it. they say that many bad things will happen such as weather catastrofies and a threat from outer space!
What do you think about it guys?

It's not the end of the world! One explanation, if you don't know. Nostradamus hasn't said all these things, because if he has said them, he would be killed on the stake (He has lived in 16th century). Because of this reason, he has drawn pictures in a book. The pictures have been connected with the sun, the earth, monsters, stars, etc... And today our intelligent brains exert to understand, what has he meant... Why doesn't it be the end of the world in 21.12.12?. Why not ?! :D. We only interpret these pictures, there are not facts, nothing sure, we only think that he meant this. However, it should be something much more different.
About the Maya, I'll only say that the last day of their calendar is 21.12.12 and what about that? Does this mean END? Can't it be beginning or just a calendar which must be changed, but all they have been killed before that. We only guess. So I don't think we have to worry about this date, actually I'm more perturbed about the coming natural accident and wars (world war for petrol)... I just advise you to do not worry so much, if we die, we die all and that's it. Think about the positive things of the life and let it go. :)

hey,
many of Nosterdamus prophecies came true back in the history,
so you can't say that it is all our imagination, and the way we understand his writings.
i believe there is a reason why the Maya decided to end their calendar on that specific date, an old cevilization lived thausands of years before Nosterdamus.
It is too strange to be a coincedence

Hi, In my lifetime people have many times in the past warned about this date or that for something huge to happen. Remember when it turned 2000 and all the computers were supposed to shut down and stop working for some reason? A lot of people I knew then actually ran out and took all their money out of their banks, etc. Well, I had very little money in the bank and a lot of debt then so my thought was if it happened then heck I would be in better shape than before financially, if all the debt was suddenly wiped out.
Seriously, though, who knows what is going to happen with this? It may happen, it may not (although in my experience it usually doesn't). Chances are someday some major thing will happen because no culture has ever really lasted in history, but that might not happen in my lifetime or yours. The bottom line is if it's been predicted and we can't prepare for it then why worry about it? If it happens it happens, but if history is anything to go by there are always these strange scare tactics...and they're worse now with the overwhelming number of media sources blasting us from every side..and they rarely come to pass.

i guess you're right.
i'm not too worried about it, it is just interesting to hear what other people think, because mostly there are people who are trying to scare and make a panic.
i also believe that our cevilization will come to an end someday, as it happened to all the others. probably they also thought they will live forever (like the egiptians)
i wonder what would be left after we're gone (all the electronical and the internet won't survive) but that's another discussion.
