The essence of a new home

What is the essence of moving to a new home? My family recently moved to a new house in the suburban area. My family have been through a lot this year... The main purpose of living in a new house is for us to move on easily with the help of a new environment. It is also a sign of independence from those whom we have been dependent emotionally and financially for quite some time. It is also for convenience, so that my brother and I won't have to commute very far in order to go to work (me) and school (my brother). Most of all, we moved to a new home so that my mom, brother and I will be under the same roof everyday... Unlike before where I only get to be with my family during weekends. We feel that moving to a new home is one of the best decisions that we ever made. :-)

Hi arystine. As you know, I mostly understand your situation, and this move to a new home sounds about perfect for what your family has gone through. Nothing say more like a new beginning, than a new house. I'm sure there are some tough memories you would like to forget in the old place, and this new place would surely provide the clean slate to make new ones. Welcome home!
