How to control anger??? I can never seem to...!!!

I get waay worked up...over analyse the situation and then either i cry or i scream or just go and shop....this is not helping me guys...and 1, 2, 3...nope that hasnt helped me a bit....

It can be hard to control anger. But it can be done.. take relaxing walks, listen to some soothing music and the likes. If traveling is a hassle or not so convenient, these things can be done and it helps..

Yes, it's pure emotion... and after analyzing in all angles, it can be deduced to be what we want to think it is.. sometimes angry emotions are not justified and sometimes they are triggered by something or a circumstance. But it can be make do with.. this is generally what I think..

hey i am with you on this thought...as it is i feel from time to time it is better to vent out the anger than keep it in your heart...

I used to do everything that was suggested here so far. Everyone works differently, and if you're a woman, it seems to be a little more complicated. For one, your hormones affect moods and thoughts big time! Controlling anger, thoughts, take practice. So don't beat yourself up for it each time you get out of control. Remembering that, in the end, nothing good will probably come out of it can snap you down a bit. Because there's really no point in vesting a whole lot of feelings and time over whatever made you angry. I always think, "This, too, shall come to pass." Pray for strength over it.

yes same thing happens with me too... so I just go to some other room , alone , and just keep quiet , without thinking anything about it.even I go to sleep sometimes.....and after some time when I am cool..I try to think about the situation.

True....everytime i am angry i become mean...but when i calm down thanks to whatever means i try to visualize the good things about the situation or person or the whole scenario...

usually whenever i feel that this anger will blow up my head within a second....i just countdown fron 10 to 1 which diverts my mind to countdown....and for sometime i gets relief....then i read books to calm mind...specially inspirational books...it helps a lot..to get cool..and then evrything is in control........ thats what i do...... happy mylotting

That control tactic has never worked for me.... I remember i used to hymm when i used to get angry...but over the years i have changed...and cant see that controlling my anger either

Try playing violent video games like i do. A lot of friends have asked how it is I'm never angry and my answer is that whenever i get pissed at something or someone I go play "God Of War" or something like that and simply let out my anger on the virtual enemies. After I'm over it, I think about the situation logically. I know this doesn't seem like very good advice, but it works for me!! And I also think it's good because I love video games!!! But it might not work for you. You just have to try. Hope I helped!!!
