Few days ago there's a stray cat roaming around the house. When my husband saw him he look alike with his decease cat two years ago and he said: this cat is the reincarnation of tigger. His favorite cat before he died he sleep beside him cuddling like his child. This stray cat runs away every time my husband goes near to him..one day he decided to give him some food as he really look hungry and very skinny...few days later, the cat is at home..closer to him. but because he look dirty and his furry is falling anywhere we don't let him in the house because we have a baby. every time we go out he is very excited to rub his body on our leg and we just anyhow kick him off away which I felt bad because even he is an animal he also have feelings.! do you kicked off away any animals.?

Stray cats can be difficult. On one hand, you want to do the right thing and look after them. But on the other hand you can't help but think of them as strays..... This poor cat probably thought he hit the jackpot with finding another family again only to be let down once he was kicked out of the way. The best way to get an idea about how the poor creature may be feeling is this: imagine someone showering you with love and attention only to turn around and slap you in the face..... I'm a cat lover and am always a sucker for a stray, especially if that stray happens to be friendly. You and your husband have been given the opportunity to give this cat a second chance of having a family. He would have been over the moon at receiving some food and at having the chance to show his affection by giving you a rub on the leg. Just because you take in a stray doesn't mean you have to let him inside - I am sure that "Tigger" would love to be able to live in the shed or even under the house. A little food, some love and a lot of patience are the keys to getting a stray looking like a pet again. Good luck with it all, I hope it all works out.... =)

The cat is for sure now puzzled ...first he is treated good (given food). And now he is kicked off. NO...we do not kick dirty sickly animals away. We, as humans are more intelligent & superior to them, we should show compassion. If not wanted near, you can show him off. Try giving him food away from your home ...say, place the food in a far place but be sure he sees it so he will go there .... it would be neat if you can give him to someone who would lovingly give him a warm home.

well, at first, we were just concerned where he came from or he may have some disease or we were scared it may give us trouble later on, but nowadays as we observe him.. he was stressed from where he came from..like we did tried to shout at him to see his reaction..he was really scare and run faster as he could..next day..we feed him and see his reaction..he always lick our faces before he eat. we sit in our front porch every time we feed him and everytime he lick my baby face he laughs on it! from that he is not really harmful and so we decided to include him in our budget..so he is fine now ..we hope his feeling will be back to normal!

I will kick or abuse the person who ill treats animals or birds. If possible, please lorna, try to take tiger to the vet ( If you cannot afford private veterinarian take to government vet) and treat him.

We did already clean him and trim his furrs that falls anywhere he goes, I bet he was just stressed from the place he came from which we don't know because he just anyhow pop up in our house. We have two cats before but my sister in law ask it from us so we gave it to them. for two years now we don't have cat until this came another one..we name him tigger. We notice him that he really act like a child..he like being cuddled now he is clean..he always follow wherever we go inside the house..he like to stay in the basement as it is cool there.! and if we call him for snack something he always come and lick our faces before he eat..hehehe..sweet cat.! he can easily understand what you say to him..like, if we say, lay down tigger, come here tigger, let's go tigger..he knows it..! my baby is not scared on him too! so we decided to include him in our budget! don't worry we are not that bad people to maltreat animals..we have two dogs too, barnie and katie!

I don't believe in kicking away living creatures. If bugs are climbing on me, then sure I might thn, but not in general I don't believe in being curel to an animal. Why don't you clean the cat up? They are safe to be around babies, and its not all hard to clean him up. That's what I would do for the cat even if I had a baby.
