Muslim Community against cigarette smoking

I have recently heard that the Islam religion, among its tradition of pork free meals, to include the no smoking policy to their members. I am bit doubtful that the Muslims will get rid of cigarettes hundred percent, yet hopefully what may be their purpose in such obliterating the vice would be well understood by their members and it would be realized to a success any sooner.
