How do you put down the telephone handset after the call?

I just notice to some people, when they end up the phone conversation, they put down the phone handset as if they are mad. Wherein, they put it down intensely and dont mind if the other party could hear the annoying sound that it might create.
I am just wondeing, why there are people doing this. That they, dont put down the telephone handset properly.
How about you, how do you put down the phone after the call or conversation?

Well, generally After completeing the talk, I switch off the phone set and then I keep down the phone very decently..at proper place..may it be the pocket or at preset place while at home..
But, it depends if the person on the other side, is disturbing, I may forget to follow the way I said above..

I got your point. Some caller does not know how to end up the conversation well. Wherein, they put down the telephone though you are not yet finished to what you are saying.

hi there.
oh poor handsets.
well, when i put the phone down, it is most of the time just gentle. why? cuz my when my mother hears me slam the phone, she gets mad. she wants us to treat our things at home with respect. and i guess that grew on me. plus, there are bigger chances of getting these things busted when you keep slamming them with you ending up using nothing.
