i've read in gmanews.tv that Pnoy was 40 mins late for his 1st address to the military due to heavy traffic and he refuse to use wang wang.. piece of advice Pnoy... a good leader should be always on time.. there are no excuses... if a student is late for school sometimes they are not allowed to enter... if a worker is late for his job.. there will be salary deduction... i quote: ""I should set an example to the Filipino people," said Pnoy hope this example wont show what Filipinos are... plus.. we are already known for having "filipino time (always late)"... let's change that.. it should starts with you!!! good day to all!!

Well, I guess he's just trying to live up to his word. Wouldn't you admire him for being a man of his word? Now the term "filipino time" doesn't necessarily mean Filipinos are always late. It just means Filipinos tend to slack off when it comes to going to certain meetings on time. Heavy traffic is an exemption. If it is not then "filipino time" would be a very famous term all over the world.

actually, for me traffic is not an exemption... because we all know that it will be traffic on that time and most of the time... he just need to go to his meetings earlier...

I really hope he will spare himself on that issue. PSG is having a hard time guarding him.

A good leader is a good follower. He must set as an example. In President Noynoy's case, he wants to be a good example to his fellow Filipinos. I hopt that till the end of his term he will remain as a good example.

Well as a president of the country he has to set an example to be on time. I think people will understand if ever he uses the siren considering that he is entitled to use such. Moreover, its really a risk for him to be caught up in traffic. But I do admire him for implementing this law that prohibits the use of this sirens and limit the use for those that are only allowed by law.

The initiative not to use the wang wang is such an awesome idea, but Pnoy should also be able to sustain this. It is a must for him to come on time and he should never use the wang wang move as his excuse. It is going to be a bad move if you are going to solve one problem and create another one. This is what we call a band-aid remedy. He should try to look into different aspects of his moves and decisions so we can avoid controversies in the future.

True, he has to set an example on punctuality. Filipinos as a general rule are always late. Pnoy is rumored to be a late riser and is just adjusting to an early schedule now. He knows traffic is terrible in EDSA so he should have left the house earlier. Well, all part of the adjustment. He is not wired for lateness like President Erap when he was in Malacanang.

When he did people will then call him OA that is why he avoid any overacting by being late. Underacting is much needed now don't you think so?
