Who would have predicted the results, The Orange of Holland came from behind to win against 5 time champion, to break a cruse that a team never won after going down in the first half. And the did it in style. In the later match, how Ghana lead and how Uruguay drew level and Ghana blown a great chance in extra time to win it with a penalty only to lose penalty shootout after being level at extra time.

lol =D Well well, this world cup is so full of surprises!! NOt only those two matches, but imagine germany winning argentina by 4 goals to nil?? haha =D THat's even more shocking!! It seems like when england played germany, it's not that england are really bad, but rather, germany has become too strong!! haha =D HOwever with all these shockers now, i wont be surprised to see spain going thru to the finals but end up losing to uruguay for the world cup trophy?? haha =D

I think germany got their tactics right from the start.. As argentina has always been the one scoring, in the previous 4 matches, and thus they are trying to keep up with that momentum.. BUT too bad for them, germany got it before them, and that's where they lost confidence, and spent too much energy trying to equalise instead of keeping to their usual game ^_^ As for england's match, i wont know how to describe, even if that 2nd england goal is allowed, i think england will still lose.. I will love to see spain deafeating germany tonight!! haha

I think you are right to say that they got their tactics right and not allow the argentina to rest and play their usual game. They also really quick and running for every ball and getting the Argentinians frustrated. As for the England match, I think while the germans are good, they lack the experience and if the 2nd goal stood, they might not have won.

kun2349 Well I think the Germans was a little lucky, the scoreline was due to the fact that England and Argentina was trying to come back from being one goal down and leave the defense exposed. They were lucky the 2nd goal for england did not count and that might have change the face of the game. As for the Argentina match, they had an offside goal. The good thing about them is that they do not know anything about defending goals, even if they are winning by two goals they still continue to attract, that is the good thing about this young team. German however can be beaten, like against Slovenia they can be beaten.

hexeduser22, Quite a night isn't it. I did enjoy it as it is free flowing soccer at it's best. while I hope they would win with this attractive soccer, I think they are not mature yet. They have yet to meet the pass masters like Spain and master of total football. I think Holland would be overcome the odds.

Well I do not know who to support for Brazil or Holland, I like both teams, however I think Holland was lucky to have scored the first goal, however the second goals was a defensive error, leaving the team unmarked. Luck is a key ingredient for team to win, so Holland might just win the world cup.

I was just dumbfounded! Pretty awesome matches to watch. History is in the making. South Africa 2010 is going to be on people's lips for a long time. I just hope that Spain could break the curse in some of the earlier matches to win the next round and eventually emerge victorious.

It is a heartbreak, after all ghana played a good match and have have many chances to win the match. I think Spain have all the qualities to win, however they need a little luck.
