Do you take your cats for a walk?

I've actually always thought about this, but how do you do it? Do you also have your little cats on leads :) ? I can just imagine how cute it would look just to have the little cats on leads and leaping along the pavement, although do we really need the cats on leads? I once had a cat from next door that liked to follow me around, so I think they would just be ok to follow the owners?

I have had three cats. My first two were sisters and I know they would not have enjoyed a walk. One was just too independent and frisky and the other had a bad hip and mostly laid around the house. My third cat I used to take out on a leash on the porch and in the back yard. I never took her for a walk down the street though. I don't think she would have cooperated for that. I miss all three of them and hope to have another cat some day.

I want to, I think my new kitty, Freddie would be down for taking walks. He is very people friendly and in most ways is more like a dog than a cat. I think he would love to take walks and I would love to take him walking around the neighborhood, it would be good for both of us! My other two cats would hate it though, we tried it once and they absolutely refused to move with the harness on.

We have a few cats at our house. i could never take them for a walk though. They are just too independent. They want to go where they want to go and do what they want to do. They just wouldn't stand for it I'm sure.

My cats really don't like to walk. While I have them trained on the leash, only one will actually let himself be walked by it. Of course this is only across the parking lot from our truck to the apartment door itself. But, at least that's something I guess.

I'd love to take our cat for a walk but can't do that because she is an indoor cat.
