Who is your hero or superstar on World Cup so far?

Maybe you’ve already noted twice the big names in the Nike ad all failed to produce at World Cup 2010. But they’re really part of a larger trend, in that no single superstar has yet emerged to dominate this tournament in the way that Ronaldo (the original Ronaldo) did in 1998 and 2002, or do something to be talked about for generations, as Roger Milla did in 1990. There have been some impressive performances though. So I’m wondering, if Nike had waited until this point of the tournament to make their Write the Future commercial, and could only cast one player, who would it be? Or to put it in a less annoying way: Who’s been the big hero of World Cup 2010 so far? Maybe USA’s Landon Donovan? He had genuine hero moments against Slovenia and Algeria. Who is your hero?

For me till now it was Messi who was star of the tournament, but now that he is out, you need to go back to the German youngsters, Mueller and Ozil. The two have really impressed me. Then you have the spanish midfield duo of Xavi and Alonso, who seem to be getting into real form now.

Well Messi is a star only for the name, no goals on the Turnamet can not make him the "star of the turnament" The messi situation is a little bit strange. We all now of his talent playing with BC but that is the only team he was ever played for
And when we plays for Argentina he never shows there.

Messi did not score a goal, you are right. But he did everything other than that. He created so many goals that were put away by Higuain and Tevez in the matches leading up to the match against Germany that the lack of goals from him was not missed. But in the Germany match he cut a forlorn figure thanks to very good defending by the Germans.

I cheer Germany fresh and young way of playing.
Klose is the best player and the fact that Ballak did not play gave him more responsability to take care of scoring the goals at Germany.
Unfortunatelly Muller will not plan the next gave due to have 2 yellow card in different games

Haha! I like germany too! Tonight Germany vin argentina by 4:0! Although there have no shortage of big-names starts in Germany ,they have perfect organizing abillity! They are no palying in several players, but a team against Argentina in the few players !In opposite, defence of Argentina is rather too bad! Germany's behind a few goals due to poor defence of argentina !Germany football team if a powerful team ! Germay's player is very youth,the old of tomas muller is only twenty,also Mesut Oezil,Toni Kroos,Lukas Podolsk and so on! Messi,Higuain and Tevez are famous in the world, but they can't save their team!Goodbey Messi!Goodbey Maradona!Goodbey Argentina!Congratulate to Miroslay Marian Kloss,oezil and everyone in germany! I think that there have been a few outstanding players so far in the tournament. I think that Messi has played very well and has done everything apart from score a goal in this world cup. I think that Villa has done very well to score 4 goals but i think that so far Diego Forlan has been my player of the tournament by inspiring Uruguay through to the semi finals of the world cup.

For me, the superstar of this World Cup is David Villa. He is just lethal in front of the goal and he managed to score some important goals for Spain on his own. I think that he will score in the final too and will win the Golden Boot.

For me my superstar on the world cup is lionel messi. He played very well for his team, he did some great passes and assists. I believe he can do more and he will score goals in future matches in this world cup.
My second superstar or hero is wesley sneijder. He played very well against brazil (one of my favorite teams) and I congratulate him for that.
I have only 2 heroes in the cup and I just want to inform you that my favorite team is Argentina.
