Well it was sad to see the brazil the way they played yesterday,as i had really hoped to see them in the semis after the first half onside goal by robinho, but, after the first half the amount of respect i had for them was all gone when melo brought down robben and stamped hard on his already injured hamstring,it was horrible to watch them play like this, and after that moment on,i ceased to being a brazil fan!there was no beautiful game on display and what you could see was that brazil tried being italy which they cant,i really blame dunga for this mess as he should not have taken melo to the cup,as melo is really a nomad who keeps on hopping from one club to another seaseon after season, and why the hell on earth did he leave behind ronaldinho, atleast he could have been used as a sub!the way danny alves was stomping robben all over the place it was a far cry from their glory days,on their days losers should show some modesty, but.brazil proved to be pretty bad losers, and they dont really deserve to be in the semis for sure and righteous team went in!

I think that it is a bit harsh to stop being a fan of a country because they have had a player sent off. I am an England fan and always will be even after the poor show that they put on in the world cup. Brazil had a poor match but they did play well earlier in the tournament. Melo had a bad game but that happens to all players. It is easy to say who Dunga should have taken when the team has been knocked out of the tournament.

Sir,it's not that i am a brazil fan,i am big england fan but was dissapointed with their loss to germany for which i really blame refereeing who was primarily responsible for changing the tempo of the match.it's only that i am saddened by the level of play exhibited by brazil because this is not what they are capable of.I am very happy now after the argentina germany match,i can proudly claim that england was way better than argentina, atleast they scored two goals back(discounting the referee),now i really dont feel bitter about that defeat and can say,all you argentina fans ,just get lost now,and happy to see the back of maradona, that gas bag has to go off now!

I totally agree with you siliguri. Brazil played brilliantly with netherlands but netherlands played better in that match. If brazil let some of their stars play like Ronaldinho or Adriano then they would have won the game. Anyway I congratulate the netherland team especially Sneijder for playing so well against brazil and they deserved to win the match.

Actually Brazil showed glimpses of the beautiful game in that match against Holland. Immediately after the first goal, they constructed a move which was really beautiful, the Jogo Bunito (beautiful game) which ended in a Kaka shot being brilliantly being saved by the Dutch goalie. To tell you the truth, FIFA did not give them a chance to play the beautiful game by handing the game to a rookie referee who was taken for a ride by the Dutch. Van Bommel kicked every player on the pitch out of the park and referee missed everyone of them!! Cheers! Ram

It was very sad indeed that brazil was shown the exit gate.Meanwhile my other favourite team argentina also shown the exit way.I think Netherland and germany are favourite for world cup 2010.Germany's mindblowing game against argentina and australia showed their agression towards soccer.Nertherland played very well tackling brazil. They just played professionally to beat the all time champion Brazil. Lets hope atleast germany wins the cup.Europe is maintaining that they are best soccer team ever produced.Tks for the article. :0

Unfortunatley i didn't see the game, i would like to have seen brazil go all the way, but now i feel as if this competition is going to the Germans. Well now lets see how England hold up for the Euros, and the world cup again in four years, surely our time has got to come again, i d love to see England win the World Cup before i die got a fair few years left in me. Will we ever be able to beat top quality teams such as the Brazilians and argentinia's etc..

Sadly...they kinda forgot it.:( Anyway football is a different sport now than 50 years ago, let's say. It's more of a commercial deal and money is in the front line. But still Brazil plays one of the most attractive football matches.
