Iam presently doing my graduation and want to do a PG programme after completing my engineering degree. But my parents want me to do the job first after my graduation and after sometime i can have my master degree. I dont know who to listen, myself or my parents. Whats your opinion guys.

well who is paying for all this school? and where our you living at home? maybe mom and dad just can't help you any more and they need a little help there self and working and going to school is not a bad thing but a hard thing to do but maybe you need to sit back and think about some things

leo, I think your parents gave you a sound advice. You have got to get a feel of the playing field. The experience is necessary. Give yourself two years. Then you can enroll in a master's program and further your knowledge. Various companies require MA's and MS's for career progression. Keep your focus. You will get there. Don't forget prayers.

i think that depends on who's gonna be paying for your schooling fees and other expenses. cause if it's your parents who'll shoulder the expenses then as children we don't really have a choice but to obey them. but if you think you can support yourself financially on this one, then just explain your side to your parents and talk about how you feel about it, and hope that they'll understand why you've made that decision. good luck.

What do you feel like doing now. If you want to continue whatever you want to do, you should go for it. If the situation that requires you to work first, go for some experience in reality. The best choice, if I were you, and you have spare time. WORK part time while you going for your further education. That is the best case to satisfy both sides.
