Hello lotters, I don't about the others older than i am but some how i felt that the songs being sung in this century isn't as good as it was before. yeah, iknow there are still great artist here and there but you know, i have to be honest, most singers that are click now have become famous because of the songs of before. i don't know which one did you prefer before but i have my story on this one. Frankly, for me it was a lot better in the 80's and 90's. were the songs were really unique and almost every one can be magnetized by it. imagine guys and gals going crazy for the album even before internet became even more sensationalized because of the "download" era Here are some of those songs.i like to share it with you. I personally think it was better in the 60's and 70's. That was the heyday of the era in American popular music that is responsible for the stuff everyone listens to today.

hello Canellita, I guess so, i wasn't much into the 60s and 70s but my mom and my helper listens to them most specially when it comes to Engelbert songs. sometimes we listen to the songs of 70s in the radio, which sometimes i liked some of them. probably one of the best Melo moments for me. but i was still more to the later ages.

I listen to music as old as the 1930s from time to time if you can believe that!

I like the music during the 70's and the 80's. I don't know but I seem to like those music compared to the music of my generation. I specially love the rock ballads from Queen, Scorpions and Eagles. I guess it has to do something with what kind of music we prefer to hear

now that Jovit has used the song, it could be a possibility that he can join the Queens band? just like Arnel did with the Journey..there's still the best with their songs

You are definitely right. I am not saying that it is because that I was born in the 80's, but the songs on that decade never forgotten. Besides, they can be heard over and over again over the radios. The songs you have listed are familiar and really nerve breaking. To include, Please don't ask me, Just tell me you love me, I just can't stop loving you, One last cry, etc. Songs of this generation are already revivals. And still you can compare the differences. Nothing compares with the original.

Hello Maean_19, i agree the originals are the best, even if there are revivals, you can't compete it with the original. i was born inthe 80s but i was avid fan of the 90s and later on the 80s as i get older. i never entirely like the song of this century though maybe not all of them.

Well for me music is some kind of a trend of the times. I am for sure that when you ask your parents they would not say it is the 80s but maybe they would say the 70s or 60s or earlier is the best music of their times, and if you would ask your grandparents they would definitely say the music of the early 20th century music would be the best of their times. I guess it would definitely be the generation where you belong to will your music be attached and you can find justification for that since that was your era. I am pretty sure that the young generation of today will find that their music of today will be the best when their time has come to an age not appropriate of their time as well.

It is all with the age, I guess as in richnai's case has said it, he would love to stay in that era where he fell in love with the kind of music he became familiar with..... :D

Hello Rsa, Oh, no not really in this century, all i hear most of the time is similar western rap, revised, remakes and others that really doesn't get the grasp of what ever just for the song.i agree that the 50s, 60s, 70s, were the start of unique and cool songs. but it's the 80s and 90s where i fell in love with the songs.

Knight, music is the language of angels. Music, too, had given the peoples of the world, young and old, to get connected. The music of the 50's, the 60's, and the 70's are distinctive enough of the era. The 80's had become metallic with hard rock. That signaled the proliferation of the bands. The 90's and on to the present time, the revivals had been constant hits. But the progression of music is really defined by how the listeners accept such kind. I am forever touched by songs such as You Raise Me Up or Warrior is a Child or The Prayer, but my daughter loves Jesus Take the Wheel. Pop music and country music and rock and revivals had juxtaposed and had given given way the music of the times. Let us enjoy the music as it is.

hi letranknight25! i like those songs even though the only song that i am really familiar is the one from savage garden cause i am already alive when that song came. i seldom hear those kinds of songs these days because what i usually hear now are the noisy ones and sometimes, they even sound angry. it relaxes me to hear those sweet mellow songs and they make me think of my love one too...

i miss the soft rocks sometimes. the noisy ones, well there was rock and that was a bit noisy too. mellow songs can help you sleep while the rock ones helps you awake
