Hi, mrscallands22. I have seen many areas over the south and west side that is a crime watch area. The people that live out here watches a whole lot. So, if something was to actually go down out here, they would know. Someone seems to always be outside standing around out here where I live at. I don't like it and in a way, I do like it.

Yea.. I can imagine that some nosiness [if that's even a word] may get involved.. but in certain aspects... watchful neighbors are good to have..

I actually live in a neighborhood where we all watch each others homes. I have some great neighbors that know exactly who comes over and who doesn't. We know the same about them. If we see something odd...we check it out or call someone to do it. It's nice knowing that we can take a trip or go to work and not worry about the house.

That's really great and you're blessed to have it like that. Not much traffic comes through my neighborhood and I know all of my neighbors cars and faces by heart. A lot of people don't even know about my neighborhood. But, I try to keep watch for myself and other people, too.
Thanks for your comment!!

Hi mrscallands, we can't depend much on our neighbors to watch over us. My neighbors are also forever absent in their homes. But our village had hired roaming security guards who patrol the streets every half hour (via bicycle, motorcycle cab, or on foot). And we have pet canines to keep watch over us.
