What a match! Two penalties, one each, and David Villa became the hero to send Spain through to the semis. Well done to both teams, for putting a match that many have predicted to be a boring one, based on Paraguay's route to the quarter.

Yes, Spain books the final spot in the semis. But they left it very late. After two missed penalties by both teams, it was left for their top scorer Villa to score yet another important goal. This is Spain's first World Cup semis. Cheers! Ram

It was not a boring match indeed. The game was well-played that makes it interesting. However, Spain pushed through and eventually were on top of the situation. Spain will play the Germany-squad in the semifinals. Great matchup!

most part of the match has been very awful, and the referre didn't want to indicate a very clamorous penalty commited on cesc that also would have been punished with a red card for the paraguayan keeper, but even with the referee against spain this year won ( it reminden me of that disastrous al gandour on the spain vs korean on 2002 )
