DIfference between rock and sculpture...

When i was at college in another boring classes our professor told us this story. There was a famous rock sculptor and his every work which he had done was considered a masterpiece. People for far and near used to come and view his sculptures. But whenever he had done on another sculpture he goes away and looks for another rock to start on. One day a young boy went up yo him and asked him "Sir why do you find old and hard rocks to sculpt on? Can't you get some good well polished rocks?" "Boy whatever i sculpted till now has been perfect. I do not look back. However when people see my sculptures they see the beauty of them but no one sees the rock inside that made them. All those sculptures of mine even if i work on them again they will remain the same again but if i start to work on a rock then i can turn it into another great sculpture!" That was indeed a touching story for me. It shows that how no matter how much u sharpen or polish a diamond it remains the same. The same concept applies to life don't you think? Share your thoughts!
