My niece, who is 12,has been wanting a puppy for awhile now. Her parents (her dad is my older brother) wanted to make sure she was ready for a puppy. My brother and nience would of gotten a cat but my sister-in-law hates cats! My brother had a Siberian Husky male for 15 years so he knows what is like! I think they chose a Husky because of the one my brother once had! They are getting a grey and white female who is 3 months old. They are getting her from a breeder, a private breeder. My nieice Ingrid wants to name is Nala. We will see if that will happen! As my brother wrote me "the adventure begins'!

I know Husky's are a working dog and need a lot of exercise! My brother and family know all this! They thought long and hard about this! They even made sure their daughter was ready for this before they went with a Husky! I know it will be hectic at times but they'll be fine!

Sibes are beautiful dogs, to be sure, but they are a working breed and need lots of activity to be their best. The are also a spitz breed, and tend to be a little tougher to train than say, a lab. Oh, and the shedding!!! I hope they are prepared to comb the coat out thoroughly! It can be quite a mess when they blow coat!

I think my brother and his family are ready for the Siberian Husky! My brother had one for 15 years! He was a weird dog! I'm not sure if he was born that way or my brother didn't train he well enough! My sister-in-law knows about the hair shedding and everything else about the Husky's! My brother had his Husky when they first got married! I know they thought this out before they decided on a Husky! They know what to expect and they can deal with it!
