Keeping up with friends, getting directions, playing games or searching for information, it has become a vital tool in our everyday existence. It just make life so much more enjoyable as well as saving time to do the enjoying of life. Yes, it must be true: I am in love with the internet!

It's quite amazing to think that not more than 20 years ago it was a cross between a military toy, and geek land. Now the UK government is trying to ensure that all homes have access to broadband!

It would really be a game-changer if everyone in the world had access to the internet at broadband speed. It's a great dream, but probably won't happen for a good while. When the internet (and broadband) do flourish around the globe, the world will be a much closer and faster place!

You are right. For one thing, it also saves time. I can bank online, pay bills online, and if the weather is bad, I do not have to go out. I can also email my friends. I still get out quite a bit but there is no longer the danger of getting caught in a snow storm in the winter or a thunderstorm in the summer because I have to go to the bank and deposit that check or else.

Yes, I truly don't know how we all got along without the capability of checking for severe weather reports online before heading out into the world! I can still remember my Dad waiting on the weather report to come on t.v. when I was little. What an inefficient way to disseminate information to the masses! The internet rocks with its instant news info! And even better, now that we are all starting to have internet capability on our cell phones, we will never have to be in the dark about anything ever again. Not only are we all keeping safe with the information we receive, but also are saving money by shopping smarter by finding online deals, but also have greater access to customer reviews about products which keeps us from purchasing bunk merchandise that we would otherwise be unsatisfied with. The internet has truly changed (is changing) the world.

I totally agree. Internet is very useful, but dont let it BE your life. Its still better to get in touch with your friends in person. Play a real physical game. ;)

Hi Rallon, Your discussion is very timely as I just affirmed how lucky we are now for experiencing all the benefits of using internet. Last Saturday night my was held-up and suffered several stabbed wounds in his body. One of the stabs almost reached his lungs. He’s now confined in the hospital and still under critical observation. We learned about what happened via his facebook account. His shoutout was about the incident and he was asking for help to call his relatives. So, all friends were informed and alarmed and in the wee time of the night communicating with each other to be updated about his condition. Thanks to FB that we were connected in this time of crisis.

Since the evolution of computers in this world, people continue to invent things that makes life easier for us to do. Like the Internet, it is also called the second world and it is a virtual world for us humans. As we enter ourselves in this world it is like that everything is there like Information, images, videos, graphics, communication and many more. Internet makes businesses more flexible because of the ability to sell online. Computers and Internet really make work easier and it will continue to be improving as generation passes by.

Yes it is truly like a second world in which we can visit pretty much anytime we want. What is truly remarkable is that it keeps getting "realer" with every passing year. I believe at some point, perhaps in our lifetime, visiting the internet will be indistinguishable from our regular world. You will still know that you are online and not walking around in the real world, but it will be hard to tell. When that day finally comes, well. . . welcome to the matrix!

I've stopped watching TV, reason being you don't have to watch what others want you to watch, you can go to youtube and watch whatever you like.

yes internet had changed many things in human life. it made available the data required in secs.anything we want to know can be find in internet. but here in internet one can know how to make a robot and how to make a bomb too. may be internet is more helpful regarding commmunication and entertainment but there are also some threats to us as well.

It certainly does. I remember what it was like being a student without the Internet. Kids nowadays have it much easier. However, having things this easy doesn't really build much character. A lot can still be said about doing things the old school way.

Internet really makes life easier, I completely agree with you. But, having been a elementary/middle school student during the years of lack of internet (not lack of, to be honest, internet was just not for everyone, and the few that had it, had really slow net connections), I kind of miss my researches on Encyclopedias in the libraries. The sound of pages being turned, scribbling, the silence and the scent of the books... I love it. And now I am a private teacher and when my pupil has to do a research, she turns on the pc, she looks for something on the internet, she copies and pastes and she prints: voilà. And she even told me her teacher at school is satisfied with copying and pasting from wikipedia, as long as they read it. D:

It is actually true that the advantage of having internet is to search for informations, contact your long lost friends to the extent because of that other were able to have school reunions, you don't need to spend too much money just to call with the people that are close to you especially when they are in other countries. A big advantage on my part when I knew that my company that I have been an employee for 2 months was not even registered. I don't know what actions I might be doing but then at least next time I must be aware if the company that I am attending is bogus or legal.

I think everyone knows about this, unless of course the insane people. Yeah, internet is such an amazing discovery, i think internet is a major breakthrough in communicating, researching, studying, playing and pretty much everything. I too, enjoyed the used of internet, but i don't think we should rely to much of it, its just i think too much of everything is bad. Thanks for the topic Much respect
