There was a case where two women got murdered. They were twins and didn't know it. They had never met each other, and yet they used the same nail polish, liked the same food, has a similar handwriting, and had the same kind of car. This is a little extreme (lol), but Grissom said something interesting (I'm paraphrasing, of course): Twins are almost identical in their genetic makeup, so it's not unusual for two hands that are wired in much the same way to have a similar handwriting. And if beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and the eyes are almost identical, and the tongue that tastes is almost the same... What do you think? Do you have a twin or know about them? I've heard of identical twins having completely different tastes, but then I've also heard of them being so close that they do everything together.

I knew a set of adult twins in Tennessee. The first time I saw them together I know my mouth fell open. They looked almost exactly alike. When they were together, you could tell which was which, but when they were apart, it was impossible. They were both married and each had a little boy. Their mannerisms were the same, they sounded just alike. It was uncanny.

Twins - photo of a set of twin sisters.
I don't have a twin, thank goodness one of me is enuff I don't think the world is ready for two. I have know both types of twins. I read an interesting article one time about twins who did not know each other as they had been separated after they were born and lived a long way away from each other. One of the girls became critically ill but all the specialists that examined her said that she was in perfect health. I can't remember exactly how, but it was discovered that she had a twin sister and when they found her it seems that she was critically ill. The first twin had been feeling the other one's pain. Makes you wonder doesn't it. This is a medical fact...not just something I made up to fill up space.

I've heard about that kind of thing happenning before. I think it raises the whole nature/nurture debate. Are you a product of your environment or your genes? I think it's things like this that prove how much of an influence your genetics have on what kind of person you become!
