What's the biggest gesture you ever made for a Dog?

Hi Dog lovers! Well for me it was when I got in front of a running car to save a stray dog, I almost died and I'd do it again. I felt great but specially because the Dog thanked me with his eyes. What was your biggest gesture?

I was walking in the street when I saw a big dog with his hand stucked between his owner's gate bars, then I tried to help him and he bite me, not because he was angry, but because I did something that really hurted, so the bite was a warning. The bite hurted but I didnt care, I still tried to help him and I got it! The bite was worth it when I saw him free! :D

I think it was when I helped a dog to get down from a roof. She was a german sheperd mix who jumped from a window from the fourth floor of our block of flats, and she ground (can I say so?) on the roof of the building's entrance. Fortunately, she seemed fine after the big jump. She wanted to get down from there, but she didn't know how. I saw her up there from my window, and I thought I should help her. I was afraid she could jump again to the ground. There is no animal rescue service in my country, so I had to do it by myself. First, I knocked every door on the fourth floor. (the fourth floor was the only floor with a window on the staircase, and only from there the dog could jump) Nobody knew the dog, and nobody wanted to help me or her. Then I called the fire department to ask for help, but they said they don't do animal rescue. I called four vets I knew to ask them if anybody had reported a lost german shepard mix. Nobody did. Then I asked one neighbour from the first floor if I could use her window to climb the roof and help the dog. Fortunately she was a dog lover too, and she gladly let me inside her home. I admit I was a little afraid when I came close to the dog. I am usually not afraid of dogs, but that one could be aggresive, as she had just flown three floors down. I spoke with her and she started wagging her tail. Gently I put my hands around her, lifted her in my arms and gave her to my neighbour. When I climbed up the window, her owner had just appeared, and he was so happy to find her safe!
