Will Uruguay make into the Final??

While Holland have won their last 24 games played, they ain't exactly lighting up the tournament. It must be said that true champion can win without performing well and look like they are doing so. Uruguay is a pretty good team. Strong in defence and with Forlan, they are pretty good when they attacked. Now that Argentina is out, my favorite to win is Holland. However, I still believe that this will be a South American moment and that means Uruguay.

I think that they have a chaqnce but i do not think that they will beat Holland. Holland will be on a high after beating Brazil and should be full of confidence. I think that Uruguay need to score first to have any chance of reaching the final.

Yes, I agree with you that people have completely written of Uruguay. But it is important to remember that they are also a very wily team and are playing well as a team. As I watching the semis currently, Uruguay and Holland are locked 1-1 after 50 minutes. I think the one thing that will hurt the Uruguayans is the suspensions and injuries of which they have a heavier toll than the Dutch. Cheers! Ram

Firstly,I don't think the result between Argentina and Germany is quite unexpected ,but frankly speaking,so many goals from Germany exactly surprised me a bit.Obviously there are so many loopholes in Argentina's defensive power,and cooperation ability among the players of Argentina is not good.Meanwhile,their previous opponents are not very tough to deal with,so most of us just negelect their disadvantages at all. I am not showing off my great foresight at all,just try to explain the poor result from a relative subjective angle. Then back to your problem,to great extent I don't agree that Uruguay will be into the Final ultimately.Like Argentina,Uruguay has never suffered a real strong opponent until now during the World Cup.And I have to say that the last competition with Ghana they are very lucky so that they can keep on into the next round. However,the interesting and enjoyable essence of the soccer perhaps lies in the unexpected process and result.No one can predict what will happen in the future,right?

all i can say for Uruguay is , they have the chance, but just a little bit, coz Holland is much stronger team than uruguay! they beat the no.1 rank team brasil. but for me, this 2 teams uruguay and holland is worthless, no one of them can win the cup, but for Germany or Spain...

Well.... both teams have been playing very well, for me Uruguay will be a finalist, but not the champion. I support the Mexican soccer team, but has now been eliminated thanks to some people's very big mistakes. But now since my national team has been eliminated, I think Germany has a very good soccer team, because they have been playing very well and now will be the world champion.

Even though that I am routing for Uruguay but I don't think they will be able to get passed the Netherlands. I have to consider the form they have had during their game with Ghana which they barely won and they did it in the shot out. In fact, Ghana have scored first and almost snatched the game at the last minute of the regulation if not with the penalty blunder of Gyan.

Uruguay are the heavy underdogs based on the four teams competing in the semifinals. But we can expect of giving the orange team a tough fight. But Holland is a resilient team in the tournament by beating Brazil. let us see what happens.

well given the shocking results before,it's really hard to say.I'm more rooting for germany.but there are so many indefinite factors ahead.let's just wait and see

uruguay is a good soccer team...they are well organised and capable of scoring goals.. but on the other hand holland is a better team than uruguay.. holland have a grat defence ... i think uruguay will not make ot to the final... it'll be netherlands..

i think its Uruguay time to be foot ball world cup champions because they are very good in defense and their strikers are also in form.
