I am pregnant and I often worked my personal computer because I work in an office. My friend told me that it is not good to keep on facing the pc because it is harmful for the baby inside? How true is it? And if it is true what are some precautionary measured that I will do in order not to affect my baby? Got so worried for this, I just knew it today.

When I was pregnant, I was working also in the office and was assigned in database. I was facing the compupter for almost 8 hours a day. I asked my OB-gyne if it's okay, and she said there will be no problem with that. Fortunately, my baby came out healthy, and upto now, she has not been sick severely.

Not possible .I don't think that facing a computer would harm baby inside, most of the Womens are working in the office and passing their day infront of the computer. They do have the beautiful kids no way to worry.

Hi Desheree! I was in the same situation as yours. My friends said its because of the radiation. Try putting on a filter for your screen. I also used a pillow to cover my tummy from the monitor. The doctor said the radiation is just minimal. But better be safe than sorry. :) Hope this helps.

Good Day.Facing the computer can't really harm the baby inside your womb. In one way or another, it has some effects on you since it has radiation but there is no documented proof of it. What is important is to follow your prenatal schedule deligently in order for the baby to be fine and for you to know whats going on with her. Good luck on your pregnancy.

I never heard about this kind of stuff. but I think it's about the radiation that the monitor is emitting. if this is the case, you can try to cover your belly with a thick towel or something, to avoid possible direct radiation. or maybe you could just limit your time using the PC or just place an anti radiation screen to your PC. ^.^
