Some teacher say they prefer to be the students because students only study and dont have to worry about making the examination papers, computing the grades, attend boring meetings and teach. Some student also say they wanted to be the teacher because they dont have to study and just "torture" students. lol What do you think? Which better? Being the teacher or being the student? Which would you prefer?

I think it would be better to be a teacher rather than being a student. Because as a teacher, you know for yourself that you have accomplished something already. You have your own salary and it would be a great feeling to be able to hone the future of the students. In the future that you see your students who became successful in life, you will be proud not only for them but also for yourself because once, you were able to contribute some knowledge to them.

You have a point there! I was also a school teacher 2 years ago and I think its going to be a great accomplishment on my part too if I see my students succeed. But maybe for my elementary school pupils, its still going to take a while. But for my high school students, I hope they will do good.

I prefer to be the student cause I want to learn new things everyday. I also enjoy teaching the things that I learn to people who are interested in learning the things I have to share. I guess the only frustration teachers experience with their students is when their students don't show any interest in what they have to offer. Thats one reason why I prefer to be the student than the teacher.

That's quite frustrating for the teacher if the students would not show any interest in her subject. Actually, I am a teacher by profession and I have experienced teaching college students and not all of them are interested in my subject but I tried not to get frustrated. I took it as a challenge.

You are right about that! Teacher also learns from students. There are instances that they things in class what are actually relevant. Teachers also learn from students. Teaching and learning is a two way process.

I would rather be the teacher than the student. Hopefully, the teacher actually already knows the information and is knowledgeable on the subject and is able to guide the students. The job is still stressful, but the job of a student is often even more stressful since a lot more is at stake for them. I think I would personally find it a lot easier to teach a subject I already knew than to learn something completely new.

You have a point. I too would like to be the teacher rather than the student. Studying could sometimes be so hard and as you said, if you are already knowledgeable about something then its easier for you to impart or share what you know to other rather than learn it.

If let me choose , I prefer be a teacher to a student . The reason is that a teacher not only gain respect from some students , but also can earn money every month . And all teachers have two long holiday every year , they can relax in that time . Do you agree with me ?

I love the part about earning money. lol Though student have their allowances, I think what the teacher has is more than what the students have. Though teachers get their salary from the students payments. Hmmm.. I guess there's a special relationship between the teacher and the student.

I'd rather be the teacher. But I'm not in it for the torture. As cheesy as it sounds, I really love sharing what I know. For me, the fact that you could give new information to someone is rewarding. I mean, how do you react when your teacher provides you trivia? I know most of you blurts out 'REALLY?'. I love getting that kind of reaction from people. Don't you? =)

I love being a teacher too. But I never liked the experienced I had when I was teaching in a university and my students think that I am too young to be a teacher and they didnt expect me to be the teacher. They were thinking I was just a classmate. Even though they did that, I was not nasty to them. They just dont see me smile in class. lol

I just don't like teaching. Studying could be really tiresome but I think making lesson plans is way harder and thinking about being creative in the way you teach.

The teacher. I will then be able to work on the subject which I'm good at and interests me, instead of being forced to study "useless" subjects as a student. And yes, torturing students is one of the attractive aspects. It's also fun to set exam papers to trick students. And I am sure I can catch students cheating in exams better than everybody else.

I understand what you mean when you said that you have to study useless subjects. When I was still a student, I felt the same way about some of my subjects. I felt like they really cant help me in my major and that I need not to take them. When I became a teacher, I was teaching this subject that not really helpful for my students major so I was not very harsh on them.

I would prefer to be the student than the teacher, coz I have ever been to be both, a teacher and a student. When I teach students in a class I just pray to the God, students don't ask me about something difficult that I can't answer. You know I think It will be very embarassing if a teacher can't answer student's question coz student often think that their teacher must be excellent person and know everything that they don't know.

I think it would better to be a teacher rather then being a student because you know yours, you will get your salary and we can teach them.We need to teach them and make them successful in future. If they become some grate we will feel proud that our student become someone grate in the future.SO I teach my little knowledge to them to make their future bright.

I would rather be a student because I think it's just more fun to study and be taught. I love learning and want someone with more authority to handle all the boring bits. But then again being a teacher isn't bad especially if you are teaching a class full of nice kids/students but that's not usually how it turns out. Classes usually have at least a couple of disruptive students. But at least teachers get paid whereas students don't get paid anything, they do get an education though.

I prefer to be a student. It's because I want to acquire more and more knowledge. Because when you're a teacher you get stuck to your field and most likely teach the same knowledge repeatedly.

I prefer to be a student rather than a teacher. It's not that I don't have the guts to teach but I really just want to learn from my teachers. As a student you never stop acquiring more knowledge. But when you're a teacher you just get stuck to your specific field of study and most likely teach the same thing repeatedly.

HI peee!! I'd go for being a student. You won't have the headache of making lesson plans or getting problematic with students who are not improving or not doing well in class. Being a student is avery hard job but it gives you a chance to be yourself and not think about those heavy burdens with students. You get to think of what's good for you unlike being a teacher you should be very careful of what you are doing and what you should do. As for some it's just a matter of priority. well just go where ever your heart is.

I prefer teacher is better than student because we cannot hold tension and worries.Student have to do exam ,they have to study day and night where as teacher duty is to make question paper ,they can get their monthly salary as they can survive and student they have to ask to their parents.
