How to protect the camera? / myLot

Hi guys, I have to take pictures in sea using my new digital camera. But I have heard that exposure to sea breeze can cause damage to the camera, so can you provide me few tips to protect my camera.

Just keep it in a ziplock bag when you aren't using it.

There are a lot of cheap camera casings available on ebay. There are even casing which can make your camera water proof but I don't recommend dipping your camera in the water with those cheap casings. If you do use them I suggest you use it for extra protection only.

Buy a cover for your camera lens. Other than that I can't think of anything else that would be able to protect your camera.
