How to solve this problem?

Hi friends, I am working now with vista operating system.And i installed xampp.while i try to run the program the localhost doesn't run.I don't know how to solve this problem.can anyone help me please.

ya firstly all the settings are not configured with the xammp in windows try wamp server which is similar to xammp but for the windows operating system all the settings are preconfigured for windows vista and for windows 7 so give it a try if you mention the errors you are encountering then the problem could be solved

I've tried xampp and it's running smoothly on XP, check your version if it is really for vista and have you configured your database corectly?

ya i also used xampp with xp.There i have no problem.but i have problem in vista
