The low carbon economy is a popular saying nowadays. The purpose of low carbon economy is to decrease the emission of Carbon dioxide.Such as ride a bike to work instead of car or bus.Use the products which made by recyclable material. And so on. Do you do this kind of things?

Global warming is now a great headache to all of us who have some knowledge of environmental pollution. We all know that Carbon dioxide is one of the green house gases and it traps a portion of heat of the sunlight reaching the earth during the day, which was otherwise lost to the outer space. And this trapped heat keeps the earth warm during night. But excessive carbon dioxide means exceesive heat trapped, which in turn increases the temperature of the earth. This rise in temperature causes changes in climate and alters weather patterns which may hasten species extinction, influence the length of seasons, cause coastal flooding, and lead to more frequent and severe storms. So low carbon economy is a must for the survival of all forms of life on the earth.

If low carbon simply means to ride a bike and using products made by recycle material, then I am going to (if not already) do it. But this is a way bigger problem. If you have noticed there are people saying we should stop eating cows, pigs, etc. because they are costing much more carbon that vegetables. So, would you support that also? I will definitely ignore that because if we opt to not eat the food because of the carbon output, we should just kill ourselves. Above all, most of the carbon dioxide emitted are emitted by us either directly or indirectly. Put it this way, if the human population on Earth is halved, I am pretty sure that the global warming will no longer be a problem.

I love the idea of going green and reducing our carbon output, however trying to do this can be an expensive business and can be very difficult to impliment. For example, I live in a rural area and I have two children so it makes it impossible for me to not have a car to get them to and from school and to do the weekly shopping. If living a carbon free lifestyle was more cost effective and more practical I would jump at the chance to have solar panels and a wind turbine to power my home, but until the prices of these things fall dramatically I will have to contimue as I am using the fossil fuels that my energy companies are providing.
