Muralitharan to retire...

One of the finest spinner Muthiah Muralitharan to retire after the 1st test against India. Perhaps, he won't play even the entire test match series against India. Seems like Murali wants to retire from test matches for the moment until the world cup after which, he will retire from all forms of the game. Murali claim is that he's aging out and couldn't bowl long spells in test matches like he used to. He also said that he might even consider retiring before world cup right away after the 1st test match against India is over.

What ever it may be whether or not these Southern Sub-continent Players belong to CRICKET just does not like to retire from this form of the game and its a big specifically in India, even the politician are of the same nature too and when it is associated with the CRICKET then you know the truth......... On the other hand its very saddening that Murali the Great turner of the ball is going to be no more at the field, which is very natural and therefore instead of being sad we should be proud of him and therefore even the God have helped him to have his desire fulfilled at the very last ball he bold and got his wicket,FULL CREDIT GOES TO "MURALI" God bless him and God bless US.

Yes, we were waiting for some time for him to announce his retirement. I think he wanted to stretch his record beyond Warne to a level that in case Warne wants to come back and try he could not reach it :) But he has been a great of the game and his record would take some beating!! Cheers! Ram

The cricket world will miss great spinner Murli if he retires. But he is best judge for his capabilities. If he feels he is tired and finds himself unable to bowl longer spells, he can DECIDE TO TAKE A BREAK OR RETIREMENT.It is his personal decision. I as criket lover and fan of murli's spinns will wish him success in whatever he plans for himself.
