Right now we live with my husband's parents but one day the house will be ours. We've decided that when it does get passed down to us we will most likely move back in it, or rent it out to family or a friend we trust. This house means a lot to us, and especially to my husband. He loves to here and so I am sure one day we will end up living back here. Though on a funny note, by the way things are going we may never leave! My mom's place may end up in our hands as well. She lives in a trailer in the next county over. It's kind of in bad condition now though so I am not sure if it will even be worth it when it does or if it does fall to us.

My husband and I live in my parent's house since they are staying in another house. I can't say it's a gift, nor can I say it is but we stay here. Ultimately, it will be given to me later. I have lived here since I was small. The house though now needs a few renovations because of its age but it is very comfortable. It is very sentimental to me because this is where I built my dreams and ambitions. I hope my kid will also treasure our house in this same manner I do.

No, my husband and I bought our property which includes two home...one we live in and the other my daughter and her family rent from us. In order to move here my husband and I sold the homes we owned when we met...both of those we had purchased, too. The other homes were investments. We have chosen to retire here so this home is special since it's where we plan to spend the rest of our days.

Actually the house we are living in now has been passed down. Not necessarily as a gift. We plan on paying a little for it one day. It was my husbands mothers house, where he grew up part of his years and it was his grandfather's before that. It means a lot to me. We have lived in a few other houses and always end up back here. Now it's ours. It's the only place I have ever really felt at home. I don't know if it's the history here or what.
