What are some of your favorite places to go on the Internet? I'm curious to find out what people's interests are and learn some great new sites.

Hello there! My favorite sites is first youtube because i am a die hard fan of Charice Pempengco and i can watch her videos there, her concerts, tv guesting, interviews and many more. Second is Facebook because all my friends have a facebook and i can connect to them. Third is Warez-bb because here i can download anything like movies, musics, games, applications and many more and the good thing is, it is all free. Lastly is here in myLot because you can get and share informations here and have friends all over the world..

Hi Ben, YouTube is a site I like too, but I don't spend a whole lot of time there. I usually go there to look up one particular thing I'm interested in at the moment. I haven't heard of Warez until now, but I'll take a look at it. It sure would be fun to download movies! Thanks for letting me know about it.

Hi Ellie, I just have one friend on Facebook so far and she is very ill right now so I don't think she would be up for playing scrabble. I haven't tried the games on there. I try to do surveys, but don't get accepted for all but a few. I wonder if they don't give the surveys to people over 50 or 60 or something?? Any ideas about that? Up until a couple of months ago I was selling some stuff on eBay but got away from it because of so few sales and the high fees. It just wasn't worth it. I'm planning to try again within a month or so. I hope I have better luck this time because we sure could use the extra $. Thanks for sharing your favorites and huggles back to you.

I have many, many favorite sites. Which ones I go to depends on my mood and my goals at the time. Yahoo Groups is a favorite because I can find any number of topics there, from writing to homesteading and from crafts to making money. Besides Yahoo, I often go to rewards sites like Freeride and MyPoints, of course myLot. Then there's knitty.com, gardenweb.com, eattheweeds.com, a number of writing sites and where I work - community.stretcher.com

I'm glad you liked community.stretcher.com! The link to the main site is stretcher.com and there is a lot of stuff there, too. Besides that... ultimatecheapskate.com, http://www.thesimpledollar.com and wisebread.com are some more frugal sites. There are a lot... if you go to the forums at community.stretcher.com there is one dedicated to "Site, Product and Book Reviews" where people have posted some interesting sites. I just knit. I've never learned to crochet, sorry.

Hi Peavey, Thanks for sharing some of your favorites. I will look at Yahoo Groups as soon as I can. I loved comunity.stretcher.com. Can you tell me any other "frugal" sites you like?? A while back I belonged to Freeride and MyPoints. I think I'll try to locate my passwords and go back to them again. I love crafts and knitty.com was intriguing. I like crocheting a little better than knitting because it works up faster. But, there's nothing like knitting for some projects. Do you know a good crochet site too, or do you just knit? We're more into gardening (veggies especially) this year so I'll pop in on gardenweb and eattheweeds (cute name) when I get some time. I spent way to much time on community.stretcher this morning!! : )

Herro tinym8 I love my lot the best. I guess my next favorite is my PTP's because I make a little cash. I love facebook for keeping up with friends and family. I don't play the games. I don't make a lot of income, I do it more for the fun. I am susceptible to alzheimers so like to keep variety to keep my brain active. Prosperous mylotting

Yes, thanks for the tip, TexLady. I too will use it next time I'm searching for something. It sure doesn't hurt to get a reward for it, if you can!

I don't know that I have a favorite site beside myLot. My husband taught me that when I was bored to just go to a search engine & put in a word or phrase. Then follow the links to see where they carried me. I've found some interesting sites that way & I've found some boring sites too. It does make the net a little more fun. You can choose ANY word or phrase that comes to mind. When the results are a large number of sites, I look at the first few & then I jump back several at a time until I get to the end. They usually get more interesting as you go deeper into the results!!! Sometimes it's funny to see the sites & figure out how they're related to the word(s) you began with. It's kinda like the old party game where you whisper a word or phrase in the ear of the person next to you & they whisper it in the ear of the person next to them & so it continues until you get to the last person. When they say out loud what the word or phrase was. It usually has nothing to do with the original word/phrase...but everybody laughs!!!

Hi Marissa, What a great idea to go to a search engine and just put in any word or phrase and see what you come up with. I bet we can come up with some great sites that way that we NEVER would find otherwise! I remember that game that you whisper something to the person next to you. We used to play it in Girl Scouts. You came up with some really weird things sometimes in the end! Isn't this fun seeing what people's interests are and finding out about a lot of new sites??

Hello My favorite sites I like to go to are mainly social media sites. Youtube, first of all is great. I love and enjoy making videos and having people watch & enjoy them. Facebook is also an excellent site! In facebook, I can keep track of my old friends and plan events! Lastly, if you are looking to make money, go to Fiverr.com. You post stuff people are willing to do for 5 dollars. The funny thing is, is that they pay well. Thank you for reading my post

Hello Everyone Fiverr.com sounds extremely interesting--gotta check it out! There have been a lot of other interesting sites mentioned that I plan to check out, too. I'm planning to try maybe one social networking site--so far I really haven't gotten into that. So many things to do on the Internet and so little time! Regards, gladread

Hi DragonWarden and Gladread, I really like YouTube, but don't go there every day. It would be fun to learn how to make videos and put them on. Fiverr does sound like a very interesting site. I'll go on there and see what it's all about. Bringing in some extra $ is always a good thing. Maybe I'll find something on there I need that I can get for $5 too. Thanks for sharing your interests and ideas and welcome to MyLot, DragonWarden!!

Hi tinym8! I like the weather sites, such as noaa.gov, accuweather.com, and wunderground.com. Not only do you get a detailed local forecast, but you can look at the radar displays and see whether a storm is headed right your way, or will miss you. There are all sorts of interesting links from these sites, too, and you can learn a great deal about many topics aside from meteorology. Personally, if I had more free time I would be spending a lot of it playing around on these sites. As it is, I visit them frequently when I want to know the "real deal" on the weather. All the best, gladread

Hi Gladread, Sounds like you are really interested in weather forecasting! I hope you get more time to pursue that love! What are some of the links you have followed from these sites? Where did they lead you? Have you heard about many of the sites that have come up from this discussion? Or, are some of them new to you too?

Hi curioguy, Wow! I had no clue there were so many Anime characters until I visited Crunchyroll. I was never at that site before. I will try visiting Stumbleupon to get some more ideas. What a cool idea that site is! Thanks for the information! I'm going to sign up there ASAP. (As soon as I have a good chunk of time to spend there). Thanks again.

Hi tinym8, I like theonion.com. Really funny news parody. Also, I find simplynoise.com very interesting. It plays white, pink, or brown noise (like the static on old analog television between the channels), and is really helpful to drown out noisy people when you're online.

Hi Davidgn, I will have to take a look at theonion. Simplynoise sounds interesting. It could come in very handy at my house to drown out noise on occasion. Thanks for your input to my discussion and welcome to myLot!
