The longest I've stayed awake is 72 hours, I was going crazy I was really hyper and pretty delusional, lol I wanted to sleep but I just couldn't I would lay in bed and stare at the ceiling, even after taking sleeping medication and still not going to sleep, I took sleeping meds. and a bath and that finally knocked me out. I hate when I'm online at like 5am and people say "why are you awake so early?" and I say "I haven't slept yet" and they are like "You know that's bad for you, right?" Duh! really you don't think I know that, I've only been living with insomnia for as long as I can remember, they say that when I tell them I only sleep a few hours a night too. Honestly I hate sleeping, it's a waste of time, there is so much that could be done and so much that could be taken care of if we just didn't have to sleep. Thoughts?

the longest hours that i stayed awake was for 32 hours while i was doing some school related activities. that was without even naps. i am surprised that i managed to stay awake for that long period of time and still go to my classes. i could not imagine doing that thing again. Lesson learned avoid cramming.

You two have me beat. You have stayed awake longer than I have. I have been struggling with insomnia for a few weeks now. Sleeping pills (non-prescription) work. But, I can't keep taking pills everytime I have to sleep. Last night, I refused to take any medication. I was awake the entire night. None of my usual tricks worked. I sat upright in an armchair until I thought I was ready to finally drift off to sleep. Then, I went back into my bed. But,instead of sleeping, I became instantly awake. I was very restless all night. I couldn't wait for the next day to start. After sunrise, I managed to sleep for 2 hours, sitting in my chair. In the afternoon, I layed on my bed and FINALLY fell asleep. But only for 2 hours. I still have 5 days to go before my anxiety is relieved because I will finally get a little money and can take care of my needs. I don't know how to handle tonight. Maybe I should just take the pills.

You make me feel like a sloth I love sleeping. Everyday I have to fight with myself to get me out of bed. You should be a memeber of the Cullen family.

Yes, yes I should. lol. I have thought of that before, especially that part in Twilight when Bella and Edward talk about him not having a bed, and he doesn't have to sleep, totally envious.
