It's been more than two weeks since I started mylotting and... After 19 responses to discussions, I finally got the courage to start my own. It is about my daughter finally owning her own dog. I am really happy about that. After a few minutes, I started another one about a new PTC site that I discovered. :) I was really hesitant about starting a discussion, scared that nobody will respond. I know that there were discussions left unanswered. But to my surprise, I got responses from my fellow mylotters. Thanks! I am so grateful about this. But above all, I was able to conquer my fear of rejection. Now I really believe that there is really nothing wrong with trying. Best of all, to get support from my fellow mylotters who are unknown to me is a prize. Thanks again! So to those who are scared of venturing into the unknown, the possibilities are endless. Just always make sure that your playing on the safe side all the time. Hope this article will free the people who are scared to open their thoughts. :)

Hi ench815! I am also new here and I am a little hesitant about starting a discussion too. I think for me is a little harder as English isn't my native language. I'm afraid that my English isn't good enough to make others understand what I meant. I hope mylotting will help me improve my English, so I won't be scared to write my thoughts any more.

I hope you don't worry about English so much. It's what you want to express and share that counts. I am a Filipino and proud to be one. It just so happened that English is a second language in the Philippines and that's the language we use in our house. I really wish that through mylotting, you can practice your fluency of the English language. But if you really want to pursue in talking and writing the language, I suggest that you get materials from the bookstore that will help you. Of course, staying on this site will help you a lot too. Good luck to you!

Thank you, ench. You know, the exercises that you solve when learning from a book seem simple. Trying to express my feelings it is more difficult for me. I still have a lot of problems with the grammar, especially with the sequence of tenses. But I'm workning on it. :)

Good for you for braving the myLot waters! Over the years I've learned to just dive right in there; sure, there will be those who aren't interested in your topic, but there will be those who are interested and also those that remember from whence they came. I like that you took this opportunity to encourage others ...smiles...
