your baby girl in circumcision? I hope is not Although already a polemic in society, female circumcision remains separately be a pratek in a hospital. I experienced this when my wife gave birth to a daughter. When we were about to go home, get out of the maternity hospital. A hospital nurse offer to us, whether we want to circumcise baby girls? Of course, this offer a crazy and certainly we rejected because the circumcision on the baby girl there is no law in our religion and medically, there is no benefits from female circumcision

At least, this one is being offered by the hospital. unlike with other countries that, they will do the operation without any medical supervision. Ok,i don't agree with female circumcision, and i hope this kind of ritual/tradition will soon be stopped to save young girls from dying.

It is a horrific and abusive mutilation that cannot be justified in any circumstances whatsoever. I find it shocking that you were offered this in a hospital, of all places..?

That is a horrible practice and I am so glad that you did not do that to your little girl.

advokatku hi... Why would any parent want this for their daughter? I would think that both partners would want to enjoy each other in this way because sometime life can be so stressful... I thought circumcision is only done for boys & that is painful... I would never want this for my daughter, I probably would still run out of the hospital even with the pain after having a baby.... This is very sad that in some places this is happening to girls... Have a great day mylot friends....

I didn't know this was possible. I only knew of the male circumcision. What good would this bring the baby girl or the lady to be in the future?

WHAT?! Is this a joke? How can anyone do that to a baby girl? A boy I can see doing that to, but a girl? I would never, I could never think of doing this to my daughter. I mean, how could anyone do this to a baby girl?

this is just mutilation and it is sad to know that there are still places in the world where they offer this like its something you would want them to do. I would never take my baby girl anywhere near that hospital ever again.

I would never ever -ever- do that to my child if I had one. The mutilation of genitals is just so...upsetting and so unnecessary. There's no reason for it, and the trauma of it would last a lifetime. It just rages me that these poor baby girls are being treated in other countries like that, all cultural differences aside, it is NOT okay and it needs to end. I can't believe that nurse asked you that, in a hospital? It's not even necessary to perform circumcisions on males nowadays. Because now, we tend to keep ourselves clean by taking baths and showers daily so there's no reason for a male to have that done because it was done for cleanliness issues, I think? It's a very outdated practice that we've kept for too long. But it seems it's becoming more common that it isn't needed, so I'm sure the practice will slowly fade, along with other unnecessary ones that have faded with time.
