Do You Have A Home?

Philippines

A house is not a home when there's no one there to hold you tight and no one there to kiss you goodnight. When the two of us are far apart and one of us has a broken heart... as the song goes. It is always a peaceful thought coming home when you really got someone to come home to... How about you? Do you love coming home or is it home for you or just a mere roof over your head?

Yeah eurekafemme, I have a sweet and warm home. I'm really happy to live together with all my loving family member happily under the same roof. We take good care of one another. We would like to share our joy and pain with others as well. We have our respective chores to do to keep our house clean and neat. If having delicious food we usually share it together. We turn to lower volume when watching tv or listen to music as we don't want to disturb our loved ones to be distracted and couldn't concentrate on what they are doing fully. It's really a blessedness to have a happy home Happy posting

Hi there, Lkbooi.;-) Thank you for responding.:-) I can imagine how peaceful your home is... I envy you as a matter of fact... I'm far from my family and things that's going under my household are not a picture of what a home is. But, yours is just so fabulous! You are lucky for having a family you can share your home with, dear. You are most indeed blessed for having a happy home.:-) God bless you more.:-)

You are very much welcome eurekafemme And thanks for the warm blessing I feel content to have a simple and happy family. It's always a great pleasure I could get together with my family intimately all the time. I feel sorry to learn that you are far away from your family. As what I know many people work or study in distance as well. One of my nieces does pursue her advanced study in a distant foreign country. I hope you will reunite with your family and enjoy happy family life very soon. Wish you all the best and take care.

Not really far, dear. My two daughters and husband are with me, we are living under the same roof. :-) But right now, the eldest and my husband went to have a vacation in the province. Kind of lonely being alone...:-( I am waiting for them, my daughter especially to come home. And, that will be on the Wednesday.:-) Take care, too.:-)

Even if I don't have a house of my own, I can tell I have a home. I am allways happy to come home, to be with my family. I don't have a big family (I don't know if I can call "family" my husband and my dog, can I?) but I can hardly wait to meet them after a day of work. When i'm leaving the office, my colegues sometimes ask me why am I in such hurry on my way home. Why? Because I know that at home there is someone who waits for me and is allways glad to see me. I love both my husband and our dog, and when you love somebody, any place you live in can be called home.

You are very lucky feeling such way, Inu.;-) I envy you that you have that kind of life. :-( It is true that it doesn't matter where we live as long as the place we are living in is full of love and anybody surrounded and shared that love is our family, be it an animal or human beings. God bless your home, dear.:-)

You are lucky , Neil, to feel such way towards your house and the people surrounding it. I always wanted to have a home. I'm living in a decent apartment but I don't feel it as my home. I think I'd be better happy in just a nipa hut but with all my kids present and there's love, peace and harmony amongst us all...

*Sniff, sniff* Your poetry really touched my heart. If only there were more people like you that understands REAL talent. Anyways, a house is way different that a home. A house as a human is like a stranger. A home is like your best friend. A seductive home is your intimate friends. RAWR!!!

It is a from a song entitled "A house is not A home". I love to listen to this whenever my fave singer Luther Vandross sang this. I'm not sure who is the original singer.:-) Thanks for the compliment.:-) What a way to compare house and home but you are right. A house is like a stranger and sometimes you also feel strange being there. But a home is a welcoming arms of a best friend. We often feel comfortable and loving every second being there. Thanks, Funorb. Have a great day.:-)

I'm used to sleeping over at any friends house in the past. Their beds are very comfortable but there's nothing to beat the comfort of my own home, I always want to come back home and get comfort even if I could sleep on the floor.

Yes, dear. There's no place like home. Though we live comfortably in a strange place, there's nothing that can comes close to the comfort of our home. The warmth of love form our family, the laughters and joys we share with them. Someone to be with and share our lives and self is therefore the things that can keep us looking forward of going back home.... Thank you, Basqui for sharing your thoughts.:-)
