writing for money

July 8, 2010 1:43pm CST
Hi everyone, Just seeking some advice. I love writing and I know there are a lot of places that pay you to write. I feel like I'm constantly sending out samples in return for not a lot of work or anything really long term. I know about Triond, Hubpages, Helium etc, but would love if people could post some of the places they use that work well for them. I'd appreciate any and all responses.

Hi lilkitty15, You could try the 'WAHMs Who Write' forums: wahm.com/forum/wahms-who-write-46 - great supportive site that usually shares writing opportunities. There's also FreelanceWritingGigs.com, BloggerJobs.Biz and Jobs.Problogger.net where you can find a list of jobs. There's QualityGal.com too - hires directly. DemandStudios.com as well. Good luck.

I write for Associated Content and I love it. I'm fostering kids right now and don't have a lot of time to write anymore but, I still receive money from Associated Content every month for the things I have written in the past. It's a great way to get passive income. There is a link in my profile to my content if you are interested. Don't worry, I don't get anything extra for getting you to sign up.

Ok thanks, I'll look them up. Passive income and gap-fillers are really what I'm looking for. Just for some added extra income.

Well, you've posted most of what I was going to tell you. Have you tried Associated-Content or Squidoo? If you check in the myLot tasks section, there is a user named SharonBucks that pays you heavily, averaging 4-5 dollars, to write paragraphs. It happens a few times a month, put she gives your around 15 offers at one time. Take advantage of myLot but don't abuse it!

Thanks for that, I didn't know about Sharon, so I will keep an eye out. I have managed to get published in magzines but I just want things to fill in the gaps ya know? Like when I'm waiting to hear back from submissions. Thanks for the advice, would love to hear more if you think of anything :)

I think Triond and Helium are the wonderful sites that I have ever known now. They pay us a lot in the end. Just hope you can enjoy these two sites so much!

Visit other writing companies. You can write for them through online. Just surf the net. You can also select what paperworks you want to create. Just be patient. Hard work and determination take you to the spotlight.
