using my digital camera, can I take a picture of myself without the picture showing me holding the camera? Can you walk me through the how-to process via a response to this post? Thank you in advance.

My manual is already online. I had forgotten about it previously, wondering where I had put it Thanks for your thoughtful response.

What I always do instead is use a digital cam and use the mirror to see what it shows

That's what I had in mind. The question is, how can I keep the camera from showing up as part of the image?

Most digital camera have a timer. Then its a matter of running and getting in place and not trip or look silly when the pic is taken. Another solution is if you have software that came with your camera. Then plug it on your USB port and use that option via your computer. There might be a timer with that software also. If not, Maybe you can set it to "video" then when you look at the video, use "printscreen" to freeze a pic of yourself that you like. Hope this helps.

I appreciate your help with this picture thing. I shake my head and think -- just let somebody else take my pic.
