What? 800,000 monthly for VP's office?

I need some water, please! What is this I heard over the news that the Philippines' new Vice President Binay is using an office which is rented for Php 800,000.00 or is it Php 600,000.00 a month--whichever, but the amount is enough to choke anyone. What is he thinking? Obviously, the VP does not have the general welfare of the Filipinos when he decided to rent such a very expensive office such as that. Nasaan ba ang kanyang konsiyensya? That's just a lot of money to waste for some fancy office which he does not need anyway being the VP, he can always use one of the rooms in the Malacanang or an office which is modest and not sounding like we're super rich here. The Philippines is a very poor country and to see one of our top leaders mindlessly overspending people's money is a crime and a sin. Please, Lord, put some guilt into this man. A lot of Filipinos are suffering from hunger and 600,000 or 800,000 monthly can already feed my whole province.

Wow, never heard of it til from you. That's a waste! Maybe he just followed the way the President is doing it. Why don't they use the Malacanang instead? It's why it is built anyway right? For the top officials to use? Maybe they should demolish it then?

It was perhaps and old office of his when he was Mayor and he just wants to keep that lifestyle he had. The information is not from me but from an interview I watched on TV.

I haven't heard about that one yet. you're the first to tell me about it. i think it's , ummm, unbelievable. i wonder who approved it? or did the decision even need an approval ? anyway it might not be true, it could be that some people are just trying to ruin the vp's image, well i hope this is just a sad rumor, because it'd be too bad to be true.

It must have been an office he maintained while he was Makati mayor. Even then, that's way too expensive and it's even worst.

I don't know anything about that since I don't live in the Philippines. That is an awful lot of money though for an office.

Yes, and this early I think people should voice their disapproval so this form of corruption will be put to a stop.
